Mackemm Village Details

As the northernmost village, Mackemm Village is almost always covered in snow, so it's hardly for those who don't like the cold. The climate is rather harsh with frequent blizzards, though it isn't quite as cold and dangerous as the tundra across the bay. The village itself is hidden among the trees of the forest all around it with only minor clearing for groups of structures and always smells of frost and campfires. The residents use the environment to sustain themselves with occupations like lumberjacks, carpenters, and woodworkers. It's a rustic life, but the Anthros that live there enjoy it.

To protect the forest that blesses them with this life, they take care to divide the vast forest into tree farms to rotate. As they cut down trees they immediately plant new ones, and once one area has become full of saplings, they move on to the next area while the previous one grows. It takes years to work through each of the tree farms, so by the time they return to the first, the trees are all full-grown again. Mackemm is the place to go in search of high-quality wooden furniture and decor that are as sturdy as they are beautiful. Their works have become status symbols of wealth and taste.
