AHOTE CHUMANI LASPOR
MageGender / Sexuality:
Male / HomosexualAge:
is a man who doesn't go out of his way to make friends and won't hide the fact that he dislikes you. He's critical of others, straight-forward to a fault, and nearly nihilistic in his world views. A past lush with violence and betrayal has turned him bitter and cynical towards even the most trustworthy and reliable of folks in any given crowd, always assuming the worst in others instead of the best. Cold and calculating, Ahote doesn't give the most horrendous of atrocities a second thought if it doesn't negatively impact him, finding it easy to detach himself from others if he considers them other.
He's quick-witted, pessimistic, an extreme workaholic, unfriendly, and intelligent—in other words, he's something of a "heartless bastard."
But beneath his coldest characteristics is a boy who still clings to his most natural behaviors, despite his history. To the few he grows comfortable with (or perhaps those he is vulnerable to), Ahote comes off as thoughtful, emotional, and somewhat clingy. He gets lonely quite easily, even if he doesn't realize this himself, and holds his friends so closely that laying down his life for them isn't as irrational as he'd normally think it is. He never grew out of his love for cute things, people and objects alike, and he assumes a parental role in most relationships he has. Though, his becoming flustered by others easily makes him far shyer and more modest than he normally is.
In addition to this, Ahote's also incredibly curious and academically motivated. He'd rather enjoy a good read and a cup of coffee over most other activities and is the type to listen to a threat over the phone just because he's curious to hear what the person has to say. Ahote can
be sweet, but it takes a lot to get to that point,History:
Ahote's tale is a bitter one. Hailing from a world rife with guilds, Ahote was the son of one of the most esteemed guilds' Guildmasters. He was a shy, well-mannered child who wanted nothing more than someday join his mother and her guild in their exciting adventures and expeditions. However, his eagerness trampled over his patience, and a trip to grow stronger in a forest forbidden to him ended in him losing his path home. Lost, alone, and exhausted, the seven-year-old collapsed, and would never come back to his hometown the same ever again.
When he came to, Ahote was in a castle high up in the snow-covered mountains, finding that it was a young woman who had rescued him from his doom—Famine, and the arch-nemesis of his guild and mother, and the Guildmaster of a group of terrorists sworn to bring the country to its knees. Perhaps Famine empathized with the young Ahote, or saw some potential in that soft-hearted boy, but from that day on, she had taken him in as her son and protege.
For years after his disappearance, Ahote had lived quietly up in the mountains with Famine and her guild, quickly growing fond of her affections and blurring the line between what was right and what wasn't the more time he spent with her bitter forces, but never participating in the crime and violence himself. He spent most of his time alone in the castle, reading and wondering why his parents never found him. Were they even looking? Was his guild looking for him? He'd sometimes befriend the new recruits, or meet people during his occasional strolls around the mountain—but didn't last long. They never did. One way or another, someone would disappear, die, or grow apart from him.
Time passed slowly to him, his world reduced to that of a castle on a mountain, but it all came to a screeching halt once he murdered a man for the first time. The nearby village his new guild would often pillage targeted him from their frustrations and abuse, hurling names and eventually rocks at him. Something broke in Ahote that day, and before he knew it, he was bashing a man's skull in with a rock. Realizing what he had done, he came running back to Famine in the castle, bawling. But instead of being reprimanded, he was praised for it, and the iota of empathy he had remaining had washed away beneath the brewing hatred and frustration.
After that, Ahote took his role as Famine's protege seriously—whether he wanted to or not. He'd begun to kill more, each time becoming easier than the last. He became acutely aware of the guild's operations and participated. Fleeting thoughts of his biological parent's betrayal and his original guild's absence became all that he could think about, cursing them for leaving him to his doom and not even trying to find him again!
His life took another turn once his adoptive father and his servant abandoned the guild, betraying them and their cause for reasons Ahote could never understand. The betrayal of his father and the servant Ahote had grown incredibly fond of festered another kind of anger inside him, but while he lived with his feelings, Famine couldn't, and inevitably vanished as well.
Ahote assumed the role of Guildmaster after that, becoming the leader and operator of a group of terrorists—his only real family. He'd run the guild about as well as his mother and mentor had, dealing in the black market for dangerous weapons, and dabbling in human trafficking for experimenting as well. He perfected the art of necromancy, cheating death in its most ethereal form, and achieving a level of power that could easily make his adopted dreams of bringing the country to its knees a reality. But in the dog-eat-dog world, he lived in, it wasn't so easy.
Eventually, another guild had secured a decisive attack on their castle, sending their base into ruins and scattering his guild across the land. He had lost it all. Everything he was raised to do, everything he was made to be had been brought to ruin that day—and he hadn't the strength to rebuild it all from the ground up. Instead, he stuck close to his closest allies during their time together and opened up a club in the capital instead. He lived below the grid and tried to enjoy a civilian's life right beneath the government's nose, but there was no closure to his hatred, and he couldn't stand to just "play house" for the rest of his days.
In his most recent chapter, Ahote joined an assassin's organization with his comrades, using his refined skills to take jobs and hits on people, without anything being asked of him in return except sealed lips. His life became easy, almost. He fell into a routine, had friends he loved and cherished, and was even beginning to meet someone new that threatened him with romance. But like his former glory, it all came tumbling down after being abruptly summoned to another world by none other his friend's bratty mentee—Louie Calvin Klein, bound to him by a magical contract.Likes:
