ROBIN MAPLE SILVERPINE
FaeGender / Sexuality:
Male / PansexualAge:
Upon first encounter, Robin comes off as a jolly, hyperactive, incredibly bubbly fairy. He's so optimistic that it tiptoes the line between carefree and reckless, and it isn't uncommon for him to assign urgency to everything but
what is actually urgent. He lives in the moment and adopts the "you only live once" motto completely, except he hasn't actually ever heard of that saying before and just so happened to be born caring more about cheap thrills than self-preservation.
That being said, Robin is, put simply, not the brightest bulb nor the sharpest tool in the shed and is completely oblivious
to that fact. His problem-solving skills are so severely lacking that his solutions to many common dilemmas are often more ridiculous and dumbfounding than the original problem itself. Typical for fae folk, Robin is also deeply entertained by trickery and ends up becoming mischievous as a result, causing problems almost as often as he loses focus, which seems to only be amplified when in the company of his older brother.
In addition to all of this, Robin doesn't seem to have a clear understanding of ethics either. Even when he isn't trying to be mischievous, he ends up doing things that really put his morals into question. Theft seems like a foreign concept to him, and things like birthdays or celebrations that he doesn't care about never seem to commit to his memory for very long for lack of trying, and he teeters on the line between telling the God honest truth (no matter how rude) and lying shamelessly to get out of trouble. Despite all of that, he also happens to be more sensitive than others when looked at comparatively. Even without the company of his siblings or other equally-brain-numbing characters, he follows his heart more than he would his head, feels deeply, and is quicker to empathize than he is to criticize.History:
Growing up in the ancient and beautiful Ilyanor, Robin had spent most of his life sheltered away from the mainland with his family--a typical court of fae folk consisting his older sister, Fleur, his older brother, Callum, and his parents. His life was peaceful and free of the problems that troubled the folk on the mainland, but that's not to say he's never craved more. There were often times where the life he had on Ilyanor simply wasn't enough for this curious fairy, but he had never done more than play with the thought. Not long after his eldest sister, Fleur, left Ilyanor and their court behind to pursue her dream of being a movie actress in Rivengate did Robin begin to seriously wonder about what was beyond the borders of his home. Soon after her departure did he and Callum also take their leave, both of the brothers exploring solitude before reuniting some months after. Likes:
◈ "Overly formal" interactionsGoal/Aspiration:
To venture beyond Ilyanor and explore the mainland with his brother, meeting new people and trying everything.Key Fear/Adversary:
Robin is irrationally(?) afraid of house cats. Being a fan of traveling about in his much smaller, much more obnoxious pixie form, it is no wonder that friendly felines suddenly take great interest in him and act on their hunting instincts. As it turns out, Robin is not
a fan of that and fears them greatly. In fact, he's just terrified of being or feeling hunted or preyed upon.
