Jack is a man whose personality is about as tough as his body, and has a very "masculine" personality. Courageous, compassionate, strong-willed, and loyal to a fault, Jack is that dependable friend that everyone dreams of. His optimism can be so powerful that he often ignores or brushes off red flags in both work and relationships, and when things take a turn for the worst, Jack works insistently to patch everything back up. His honest and assertive nature allows him to easily confront others, but his mediocre emotional perceptiveness makes him fall short of being charming. That's not to say that Jack isn't empathetic, but he is simply one of the types who can't pick up on subtle hints.
Jack can be reckless, short-tempered, impatient, and often says things before he thinks about what he's saying. Although not slow-witted, he's impulsive and is quicker to act on feeling than on rational thought. He can oftentimes be narrowminded and cynical or suspicious of people based on race alone and holds a very "stick with your own" attitude as a result. Consequently, Jack is stereotypically protective and worrisome for his friends and family, sometimes to a point where it can be overbearing.
Overall, Jack is a relatively humorous guy who takes things seriously enough. Once he's your friend, he's a friend for a lifetime.History:
Jack is the second oldest child of seven of an Inu family from Tilbur Village, who runs a small local market for the community. His childhood and adolescence consisted mostly of lifting boxes, stocking shelves, cashing out customers, and hanging out with friends--so, he grew up an ordinary but happy kid. However, he was brought up with beliefs engrained with malice and suspicion against Eldritch and Humans because of the Wilde Family's rich but unfortunate history with the two races. Between long-gone but not forgotten slavery, abuse, and present-day discrimination, Jack feels passionate about sticking with his own people. But even in spite of his deep-seated beliefs, he still continued to live a happy and well-meaning life until recently.
It has been over a year since the abrupt death of Jesse Wilde, Jack's older brother, who left home to become an adventurer for Velvet Reign, but died during a detour to Crowleigh so he could hike the frozen tundra up north with his two travel companions. Jack didn't know the details of his death, just that by the time help arrived, he was at a point of no return. To this day, Jack remains bitter by it all but felt roused to leave his parents and five younger sisters behind to join Velvet Reign himself, essentially following Jesse's footsteps.Likes:
