Margaret Ann Marie Von Vilderbelt (Madame Marie) Empty Margaret Ann Marie Von Vilderbelt (Madame Marie)

Post by Madame Marie Wed Mar 24, 2021 2:21 am

MARGARET ANN MARIE VON VILDERBELT

General

Alias/Nicknames: Madame Marie
Race: Human
Sub-species: Mage
Gender / Sexuality: Female | Pansexual
Age: 62 (firm believer she's 30)
Alighment: Rogue
Faction: Velvet Reign

Persona

Personality: Madame Marie is a physical manifestation of the phrase "High Society" in every negative aspect despite never breaching the gates of High Society herself. She's inconsiderate, selfish, greedy, snobby, crass, crude, cruel, and any other horrible adjective you could think up to give a woman as maliciously intent as her. Having been spoiled since her youth, she's known only her way and cannot fathom another. Birthed from that, she values her own opinion and those of higher position in society over those beneath her.-- And if it wasn't obvious by now? Pretty much everyone is considered "beneath" her.

Madame Marie was raised by her father and as such, retained a lot of the core beliefs and traditions held by the Von Vilderbelt family; their racism toward and ownership of Anthros being the most noteworthy. If Anthros are ever brought up in conversation, she's known to respond harshly and cold to some while doing her best to change topic for others.  If possible, it would be best to just avoid the topic all together for her if you're ever trying to hold even a fraction of a conversation with her.

Side Note #1 - Madame Marie is unhealthily obsessed with the colors black and white as a combination. With the general makeup of her entire life orbiting around them. From her house, to her clothing, to even her choice in pets. Everything must be black or white.

Side Note #2 - Sexuality is one of the only things she disagrees on her family with. To her, if they're beautiful? They're beautiful? Who is she to judge?

Side Note #3 - Madame aggressively makes it a point to tell people she's 30. If you're near her, or even if you're not, you'll find out eventually.

History: The Von Vilderbelts - in their prime, were world renowned (but never noble) slave traders. Climbing the ranks of the wealthy with their high quality (and high priced) slaves, they lived a life of luxury and comfort off the backs of countless lives lost. ahh, paradise. They were raised and nurtured by the finest money had to offer and educated by the smartest minds in Vyldermire. Though not particularly ace in specific educational field, there was one extracurricular  that they were always proficient at; the hunting and killing of living, breathing being creatures of all kinds...Specifically anthros.

Yes, Anthros. The finest of their slaves; flies off the shelves as quickly as they're put on it! People's love of Anthros were repulsive to the Von Vilderbelts but they were money makers all the same and that? That made them valuable assets. Knowing this, at a point, the strongest of the Von Vilderbelts went on a "ingredient run", returning with a few families from Tilbur Village. From there we return to the aforementioned life in the past. Business was booming and wealth was infinite - that is, until they got involved; damned Gaiyans.

Due to them sticking their noses where it hadn't any place belonging, most of their stock was freed...most. While they were hit hard, they weren't wiped completely. Moving operations further underground, business resumed and they continued to amass a fortune. Though, as it were the Von Vilderbelts were growing older and knew they'd soon need an heir to the "throne" to ensure business continued beyond their passing. Enter: Margaret Ann Marie Von Vilderbelt, the absolute sickest of the family. From breaking things and blaming the maids to actually breaking said maids on her worst days, Margaret had little regard for any life other than hers. Truly, the Von Vilderbelt way. And in honor of such a name, Margaret, "with a heavy heart", hadn't hesitated to "pull the plug" on her parents with the time came in the future. Choosing to use medical gold and inheritance money to fund her Anthro Fur Clothing and Accessories obsession developed by her parent's spoiling of their twisted child.

Oh well, at least their ashes made a nice set piece on the dining room table.

Fast forward to the present and the Von Vilderbelt's name has been "re-branded" for the sake of good image. Long since has their slave operations been discovered and disbanded by police, all of their slaves being freed. Now-a-days it's represented by Madame Marie, a seasoned adventurer who runs a fashion company out of Rivengate known as Von Vilderbelt Industries; the leader in fur-based clothing and accessories. During her downtime, she is still known to receive quests for the Velvet Reign faction from time to time though her presence anywhere near it is miniscule at best.

While the masses assume all of the fur is monster or animal based, to a select few exists the true market and nature of her business-- anthro fur. And if she continues to run things as smoothly as she has been? She'll continue to run this secret business and fund her immoral habits for as long as she was a live or perhaps even longer. After-all, the Von Vilderbelts were a family of mages. Perhaps the power of prolonged life was closer than she thinks.

Likes: Fur, Black & White Things, Money

Dislikes: Poor People, Disobedience, Anthros

Goal/Aspiration: Collect the finest furs, amass more wealth than she already had, and discover some way to prolong her life if not return her youth to her.

Key Fear/Adversary: Death; she'll do whatever she can to prevent it.

Appearance

Height: 7'0
Body Type: slim, wrinkled, boney
Hair: dyed black and white
Eyes: dark brown (black eye contacts)
Skin Tone: pale peach (can look greyish at times)

Hey Mag, just once small issue before I can approve. -  In game nobility is a position that must be applied for and can only be done after earning the required reputation. Unfortunately as this account doesn't have the reputation, Madam Marie's family cannot be of noble descent. Please amend this and bump when ready to review~

Bump! I believe I've made the necessary changes. They're now just a wealthy family of slave traders.
